Don Cash. Show him the money.

While over at one of my fave spots, Winnie Cooper, I came across Don Cash - an electro-hip-hop head from Toronto. Born J. Alexander Ferron, Cash has a remarkable sound but is reportedly having some trouble getting his jams out there despite his prominent scene connections with mates like James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem and DFA Records), being signed to the European indie record label Relish and the FREE distribution of his most recent album, Freshly Fresh.

From what I have read Cash seams like a confident character who’s maybe not been given the right place and time despite his notable successes. I suspect a little more Internet distribution coupled with his, ‘i am going to take on Kanye and Santogold’ attitude will lead to us seeing a little more of him.
