Dystimulation

Music and other modern musings

Evan Roth

How many times did you sit in class during your undergrad and say to your self, I knew that?, when what you really meant to say was, Why didn’t I think of that? I personally believe that a great thinker is one who poignantly notes the obvious in tactful and insightful ways. Marx, Chomsky, McChesneyPeters, Saul and my personal fave, Foucault– nearly all the modern thinkers did it. They used a set of eloquent, though sometimes convoluted, words to uncover a truth which typically lay naked in front of us the whole time. What separates them from the average person is their ability to create frameworks through which we can better understand the world around us.

Parson’s New School of Design graduate, Evan Roth, though a little young in both age and experience, could be one of the next. He adds an extra pane to his work by providing an additional visual stimulus. Check out his recent work of brilliance, Avaiable Online for Free.
